In a series of different consecutive activities, UNILAK Students through their students’ association assisted different needy people within Gasabo District and Kicukiro District, Kigali City.
Among activities done; 50 health insurances have been paid for vulnerable people residents of Rusororo Sector, a cow was given to one family and three houses have been renewed.
Those who benefited from these assistances are very grateful to the UNILAK students.
“It is been like two or three years in this risky house and today I am very thankful to these students for their love and support. May God bless them;” said Ms. Beatrice Mukaruranga, a genocide survivor.
“It is our culture and it is even a part of our pledges to assist needy people every year. We now rejoice that we have achieved what we promised to do. We have committed to contribute to the development of our country and we will forever strive to make it a better place to live in;” said Mr. Irakiza Henry Israel, the guild president of UNILAK Student’s Union.
