A new executive committee of the UNILAK Alumni Association has been elected on Sunday, 3rd December 2017 and it is chaired by Mr. Paul Rwangalinde, a former student of UNILAK 0f the 2008 promotion.
The committee is meant by ten people and almost every promotion is represented.
“The fact that every promotion has a representative in this committee will have a positive impact on the members’ ownership of the activities of their association,” said Mr. Emmanuel Hakizimana, the Director of Quality Assurance.
The elected committee replaced the one which was elected in 2015, and it will serve for one year renewable.
The committee is tasked to develop an action plan to be implemented during their mandate and to strive for the connectedness of its members.
The action plan is supposed to be presented to the members in two weeks from the day of election and the university has promised to provide any kind of support which will be requested for.
“When people have bestowed power and trust in you, you should not disappoint. We urge you to be focused and determined in all your endeveours,” said Dr. Jean Ngamije, the Vice Chancellor of UNILAK.
The election comes as a recommendation of the last week, where the gathering of former students set a team of people who were tasked to elect an executive committee.
