925 graduates have this January 25, 2018 received degrees from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK), after successfully completing their courses.
This was during the 10th graduation ceremony that took place at the University Headquarter in Kigali, but brought together graduates from the University’s three campuses (Kigali, Nyanza and Rwamagana)
Among the graduates, 102 were awarded masters degrees and the remaining 823 with bachelor’s degrees in different programs offered by the school. All the speakers urged graduates to make the University proud, especially by being hard working, innovative, committed and ethical in their future endeavors.
“Far from being a break with the university, graduation introduces you, the new graduates, in the community of “life” members of UNILAK. We will do for our part, what it takes for you to always be proud of you university and continue to identify with us,” Dr Jean Ngamije, UNILAK’S Vice Chancellor told graduates.
This tenth graduation coincides with the celebration of 20 years anniversary since the creation of UNILAK by the Federation of Adventists Parents Association for the Development of Education in Rwanda (FAPADER)
“Today’s graduation demonstrates just how far the University has come from its modest opening in 1997. We all should be proud of this institution that has thrived so well since its establishment, especially as an institution that has been founded and funded largely by parents themselves”, said Pastor Ruhaya Ntwali Assiel, the Legal Representative of UNILAK.
